Deviation from Religion

Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) was asked which is the minimum deviation from religion. Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) replied, ‘When man does not know whose obedience Allah has made obligatory and whose guardianship He has made binding upon the people and who He has appointed on the earth as His Proof and as a Witness upon His creatures. Then the narrator asked – Who are they O Ameerul Momineen (a.s.)? He (a.s.) replied – They are those who Allah has associated with Himself and His Prophet. Then he (a.s.) recited the verse - O you who believe! obey Allah and obey the Apostle and those in authority from among you…’ (Nisa: 59)
